Preventing and Managing Illness

At Journey, we do all we can to prevent illness and germs from spreading. We utilize air filtration, a center wide cleaning service and a complete toy sanitation daily to minimize bacteria and viruses.

If your child displays any symptoms of illness, it is best to keep them home during the most contagious times (the first 24-48 hours).

  • Temperature of 100 degrees of more

  • Sore throat

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Ear infection with discomfort

  • Rash or any possible contagious skin condition

  • Diarrhea

  • Conjunctivitis (pink-eye)

  • Head Lice - Must be nit-free

  • Bad cough or colored drainage from their eyes/nose.

Is it a cold or the flu? Please view this Kids Health Article to see the differences and symptoms for the common cold and the flu.
